The top 16 ranked clubs were seeded in the draw. To have 'David and Goliath' the 16 lower ranked teams were given home advantage.
Aberfan are to play former SWAL Champions Trefelin BGC who won the title in 2015-2016 and now moved up to Tier 2 plying their trade in the JD Cymru South.
Aber Valley take on Barry Town United, also from the JD Cymru South, who were former Cymru Premier Champions (League of Wales), FAW Cup Winners and have played 27 competitive games in European club competitions. Aber will be relishing the game at Abertridwr Park
Canton Liberal play Llanelli Town from the JD Cymru South, who were former Cymru Premier Champions (League of Wales), FAW Cup Winners and have played 16 competitive games in European club competitions.
Cardiff Corinthians will relish their Herculean task against Newtown AFC, who finished 3rd in last seasons Cymru Premier League. Newtown have also been previous winners of the FAW Cup and played competitive games in European club competitions. Like the others - this is no easy game for the visitors!
Pencoed BGC United have also drawn a team from the JD Cymru Premier League - Aberystwyth Town - yet another club who have played competitive games in European club competitions.
